1. Have A Picnic
Mother nature doesn’t charge admission to wide open spaces. Get out and get some fresh air, beautiful scenery, and some peace and quiet. A Take some time a few days before your date to scout out a prime location with a nice view or romantic surroundings. Actually pack a basket with a true picnic, complete with candles (if it might get dark). A quiet, personalized picnic can be a very romantic date! Remember, it’s more about the thought you put into it than in the expense or complexity of the activity!
2. Go Stargazing
This super romantic date is also extremely affordable. You don’t even have to go far from home, your own backyard works just fine in most places. Put the kids down, break out a blanket, and enjoy one of nature’s most impressive and romantic views together!
3. Take Advantage Of A Local College
Colleges often feature inexpensive activities for the students. Try to find a cheap concert or art exhibit to attend, then enjoy some personal time together afterward. Your wallet and your marriage will thank you.
4.Movie with the Stars
Take your TV outside (or set up a projector if you have one), get an air mattress or other object to rest on, put the kids to bed or get a sitter, and enjoy your spouse’s favorite flick out under the stars. Laugh, talk, and enjoy a cuddle together in private.
5. Go Back In Time
Take a step back into your history, and go on a date that you might’ve gone on when you first went out. Return to the area where you first dated, and try to recall some of the things that you loved to do together back then. This romantic date idea really shines when you give nostalgia a chance to drive your conversation. Just being together and remembering the fun and love you shared kindles those feelings anew.
